What this AI Readiness Assessment measures
Most engineering teams are already using AI coding assistants — but there is a significant difference between using AI tools and operating with a real agentic software development process. This assessment evaluates where your team stands across five dimensions that determine whether AI can actually accelerate your delivery or whether it is just adding noise to an already strained workflow.
The questions cover your development pipeline maturity (CI/CD, automated testing, code review practices), agent rules and project context (how well your AI tools understand your codebase, coding standards, and architecture), spec-driven workflows (whether features are specified before they are built), adoption and coaching (daily follow-up, pair programming, and developer support), and measurement (whether you can actually track velocity, quality, and AI impact at the developer level).
Why this matters
Teams with poor foundations see little lift from AI. Teams with strong foundations routinely reach 5x development velocity within six weeks — with some developers hitting 10x. The difference is not the tool, it is the process around the tool. This assessment will show you, in plain terms, which dimensions are already strong and which are blocking you.
What you get
After completing the assessment you receive a readiness score with a breakdown across the five dimensions, a prioritized list of gaps, and a recommendation for next steps — whether that is a gap analysis, a transformation sprint, or simply a pipeline review. There is no obligation to continue with CodeBranch; the insight is yours to use however you like.
